Since 2023, Maria has been researching and applying artificial intelligence as a tool for conceptual design and creative decision-making in architecture and interior design.
In 2024, she founded Nuvem Design and launched Nuvem DesignLab — an open study ecosystem across Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp where she shares workflows and critical reflections with architects and designers worldwide.
Her work explores how AI is reshaping authorship, process and design intent. She currently teaches Advanced Digital Design at Istituto Marangoni Miami.
She serves on the Steering Committee of DigitalFUTURES (Portuguese), a global educational initiative dedicated to computational design, architecture and emerging technologies — and she is the host of NuvemTALKS, the first Brazilian podcast focused on AI-driven design practice.
She is a candidate for the Doctor of Design (DDes) program at Florida International University.
